DIGNITY INDEX EVENT
Fourth District PTA is hosting an event and you’re all invited! Read on for more details and click here to register today!
What is the Dignity Index?
The Dignity Index is a simple 8-point scale that helps people recognize how their words can either build bridges or create division. It gives parents and school leaders a practical tool to model respectful dialogue and strengthen school communities. UNITE developed the Index as part of its mission to ease divisions, prevent violence, and solve problems by helping communities build a culture of dignity.
What is this event about?
Tami Pyfer, co-creator of the Dignity Index, will guide participants in learning how to approach difficult conversations with respect, curiosity, and courage.
Participants will gain:
• Practical tools to navigate disagreement productively
• Strategies to communicate with respect and confidence
• Ideas for modeling healthy communication for students
• Ways to strengthen relationships across school communities
